TSMC said volume production of N2, its first process with nanosheet transistors, began in the last quarter of 2025 as planned, at its new Fab 22 near Kaohsiung.
- Why it matters
Chips can do the same work on less power. TSMC expects its first nanosheet process to use 25% to 30% less power than the one before for the same performance.
